Tropical Storm Emily Organizing–Might Remain Offshore

Tropical Storm Emily is showing signs of becoming more organized, with sustained winds of 50 mph; however, the latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center is for the storm to remain offshore of the eastern U.S. Emily will first move over the Dominican Republic, possibly weakening to a depression, before passing through the Bahamas.

Based on NHC discussions, it sounds as if the hurricane experts are more confident on this track than they were with last night’s.
