We’re all thinking spring, of course, but the threat of snow has not yet ended, as I’m reminded by watching it snow during the Pirates/Rockies game this evening! But a little snow can’t stop the mighty Buccos.
The threat of snow will also include a blizzard in the northern Plains this weekend.
That’s right. Blizzard warnings are in effect in eastern Montana and much of North Dakota through Saturday. Snow accumulations will approach 10 inches and will be accompanied by sustained winds of 35-45 mph (gusts to 60), making this a dangerous winter storm, not a simple crocus crushing snow.
This isn’t the only region where spring snow is a threat. Snow is possible in Colorado by Sunday night.
Happy spring, everyone.
