Wild Weather for First Week of Spring

By Paul Yeager, author of Weather Whys: Facts, Myths, and Oddities

This is the first official week of spring, and it will start with a wide variety of weather.

Winter storm watches and warnings are in effect across much of the northern tier of the country, including a blizzard watch in parts of northern Minnesota. Strong thunderstorms are a risk for the middle of the country tomorrow, and flood watches and warnings persist along many rivers and streams from the eastern Rockies through the Plains and Missouri Valley and into the Northeast.

Additional watches and warnings will accompany a new round of storms moving into the West this week.
