“Carsicle” in New York City

By Paul Yeager, author of Weather Whys: Facts, Myths, and Oddities

With another round of snow on the way from the Deep South to New England, I thought I’d take a minute to ask what kind of popsicle in your favorite–purple, red, or car?

In case you’re wondering what I’m talking about, click on the Frozen Car: Man Thaws ‘Carsicle” After Daylong Effort story on AOL News since I can’t put the AP story on my blog.

You can also see a video on an Orlando television Web site (tell me they’re not rubbing it in!)

The carsicle (a car completely encased in ice) in question was related to a water main break, not falling precipitation.
