California Superstorm

A recent USGS release talked about the possibility of a California superstorm, called ARkStorm. It’s sort of worst-case scenario of a storm for the state, which would result in hundreds of billions of dollars in damage, mainly related to flooding.

The USGS is not trying to compete with the Weather Channel for the most sensationalistic weather scenarios possible; ARkStorm is part of a project related to flood control and emergency preparation.
